Bringing gig logistics into one place

As a musician working with several bands, I kept running into the same problem: important information was scattered across different communication channels.

Gig times and venues lived in one messenger, setlists in another, while important messages could easily get buried under unrelated conversations. On top of that, keeping track of equipment servicing was another task to remember.

I decided to solve the problem by creating TeamTruss — a single place for managing the practical side of working in a band.

My role

I designed and developed the product from the ground up, starting with the workflows I experienced myself and validating them with other musicians.

The focus was on making everyday band coordination simple: upcoming gigs, venues, schedules, setlists and equipment maintenance all live in one structured environment instead of being spread across multiple conversations.

The project allowed me to combine my experience as a musician with my product design and development skills to build a tool around a problem I actually experience.

The approach

Identify
Design
Build
Use
Iterate
Rather than designing for an abstract user, I could continuously test the product against real-world situations from my own work as a musician and refine the experience accordingly.

The Concert Mode

A dedicated Concert Mode puts only the information needed during a performance front and center. Each musician can customize the view to their own needs — from large, high-contrast text and song lyrics to personal notes and other useful details. Content can be scrolled hands-free through the set, making it easy to follow along during rehearsals or live performances without digging through menus or messages.
